You might have guessed by now, triplew.me is alternative in every respect. triplew.me is owned by Digital Ape Media and is based the Middle East for people in the Middle East. We are a group of very passionate music, photography and film fans that believe that there is something better ‘out there’. This is it.
We like to do what others don’t. We like to not follow too many trends (well, until Velcro sneakers are back in). We do need to tell you that triplew.me is funded by advertising, but you understand a beast like this doesn't pay for itself.
One thing we do take seriously is our responsibility to society. Some big corporations call it ‘corporate social responsibility’. triplew.me just calls it ‘respect’. Details of what we mean are on our 'Community' page.
Wondering who is steering this ship? The below might shed some light on things, or confuse you more -
After years twiddling his thumbs wondering what life was all about, Paul decided to embark on a journey of an epic nature that involved, eventually, this beast called www.triplew.me. Paul generally sits around, drinks coffee and eats nuts. He is also an avid music fan and you can catch him worringly observing trends and deciding whether they belong on triplew.me. He also enjoys anything that's free and owns a 1974 Rickenbacker 4001, and it's not for sale.
Mike likes pushing air. Whether it be with a Telecaster Deluxe 1974 through VOX AC30s (set to "11" of course); via the belting of his Tama Kit (hold on!) or simply waxing on to his triplew.me cohorts about the time he saw the Ramones ("actually guys it was twice, really!"). He also digs making people happy and sees triplew.me as the perfect remedy to a creative (dr)outlet that's gone on far too long.
Nannette joined Dubai FM back in the 90’s and then free96.7 before relaunching Dubai 92 as the breakfast host and then to Dubai Eye to host the mid morning show that was speak easy. Music is her food of love and she enjoys getting up on a mountain to ski.

Christelle, a graduate of the Graphic Design College in Kaslik (Lebanon), is a lover of all things creative and dynamic. Her varied experience in sales is complimented by her vibrant personality and background in design. An adventurous spirit, who loves everything that has to do with the outdoors!
Rasha is a music enthusiast who could easily spend the entire day listening to her iPod while staring into space (or pretending to play the drums). With a background in IT (that’s a very flexible description) and an aspiration to be a bonafide novelist (that’s where the writing bit comes in). Rasha is enjoying the continuous learning experience of all what’s creative in the Middle East!
Armed with detuned-klaxon vocal chords and beginner-level guitar skills, ex-Satwa resident Will donned skinny jeans and headed to London to chase fame, fortune and the rock'n'roll dream. Unfortunately no-one has noticed him yet, so he's still more likely to be seen covering classic love-songs at wedding ceremonies than headlining major festivals. As a result Will has been known to name-drop his triplew.me title to strengthen his somewhat tenuous hold on rock'n'roll street-cred. He will listen to anything, but he knows what he likes, and hates jumping on band-wagons, just like everyone else.
Calvin is a freelance contributor and self-confessed music tragic who who has spent large chunks of time living in London as well as his native Australia, where Sydney is currently home. He has been drawn into the Triple W universe like a moth to the flame, based largely on promises of untold riches and worldwide recognition. He is also a mean bass player. I am not joking about the mean part.
Much like all good stories, this one starts with a lonely man lost in the desert. After days of wandering aimlessly, searching for water, his mind wanders to a far off place, filled with oasis springs and lush date palms. Suddenly, as if a mirage, he stumbles upon a flaming pie (or burning bush….he can’t quite remember). In the middle of the pie (or bush, whatever it may be) there appeared a great luminous yellow orb. As he held the giant smiley face to the sky, he knew from this day forward he would forever be known as…………MICK D!!!…………Actually Mick is just a wannabe rockstar dad keeping the dream alive, but that’s too lame for a bio.
Stephan is the Creative Director of X-Posed Design and works with triplew.me on all things web related. That doesn't leave him time for much else...but is enjoying the ride!
