Yet more talent out of Egypt, this time from Alexandria!... must be something in the Mediterranean sea air to result in the evocative song-writing on offer here.
Deserved winners of 1st prize at the recent “El Sakya 1st Rock Festival”, Azraq Samawy play the kind of rock that keeps you on your tapping toes. Their song “3'areeb” lulls the listener with a Dave Gilmour/ Pink Floyd style celebration of guitar virtuoso, shouldered by neat synths and a tight rhythm section.
“Dangerous” sets out on a synth journey to find it quickly picking up a Black Sabbath-esque groove most appreciated by this reviewer!
Great stuff from a musically skilled band not afraid to explore the limitless boundaries of music potential!

Azraq Samawy is by far, the most melodic, most progressive and most advanced technically and melodically in the Egyptian scene. Good luck Azraq Samawy, and hoping for an album release real soon.
