Creators without Compromise: Shaima Al-Tamimi

Home is Where the Heart is…

“I grew up in Abu Dhabi so naturally it is what I will always call "home". I enjoy seeing the Capital grow into the cosmopolitan city that it's destined to become following the 2030 Vision. It is a mix of cultural modernity and everyone has the space and freedom to take what they want from all the goodness Abu Dhabi has to offer. “ Says Shaima

A Picture is worth a Thousand Words…

So, what draws Shaima to creative visual mediums? “As you can tell from my shots, I thoroughly enjoy shooting subjects with people, culture, food, and I discovered a new found interest in film making. I find that much of these elements bring people together and make for the most memorable moments in life, the good and the bad.”

Experiencing the Fujifilm X10…

And as to how she found using the new Fujifilm camera “The FujiFilm x10 was quite fun to use. I love how vintage it looks, yet still compacted into a light digital format with settings for manual use. It did take a bit of time to figure out the buttons, but that's standard with any new gadget you come across.”
