Model Society are an indie-rock quartet from the UK, who are starting to create a buzz on the London scene - we review their debut single 'Follow Your Dreams'.
'Follow Your Dreams' is definitely not a subtle track - it starts out in a similar fashion to something you'd hear on a Bloc Party record but that doesn't last long until lead singer Danny Clare starts the first verse and it's a total recall to an earlier English punk sound which blends nicely into the infectious chorus. The drumming keeps this song alive and the energy doesn't die down for a second, especially when the song breaks into an awesome duel between the instruments - and then the pace picks up again and by that point you'd probably be up on your feet jumping and singing along to the outro chants.
Modern Society's first single shows that the band is influenced by the greats of yesteryear - but their modern take and ferocious energy definitely fits the context of today's music scene.
