Fatiniza - Confusion

The debut album from Dubai-based singer/songwriter Fatiniza is as raucous as it is accessible and sweet – with songs ranging in influences and tempos from classic rock to pop punk and ballads.

The Colombian songstress has a voice strong enough to roar through the more traditionally (and insanely catchy) rocky numbers (a la single Out of Control and the upbeat/fun Femtosecond) yet it contains enough control to lead through the slower numbers (The One and the latin-tinged Hard To Be Your Woman).

Fatiniza is talented and interesting enough to carry out these tunes, which are polished and perfected to a certain commercial degree – these songs can be on the radio any day now! The singer also adds a special appeal to the music through singing in both English and Spanish – eventhough the Spanish songs edge out the English material in terms of sincerity and creating a special atmosphere, she is versed enough in English to rock out her songs.

Confusion is a respectable first effort and thanks to the great production it glides easily and makes for a very enjoyable release of catchy tunes.

A good, well-rounded first release from this Dubai-based singer/songwriter. Includes songs poppy enough to be played on the mainstream radio waves, as well some heartfelt ballads in Spanish.
