The Mini Festival took place in Dubai last week. The Dubai Autodrome was home to multiple action-packed activities from driving stunts to live musical performances. Read below for triplew.me’s coverage of the event…

Drive Out Loud lived up to its name with an exciting day of activities and events which accommodated an audience of different walks of life. From car lovers to music enthusiasts, the festival had something for everyone.

We asked to Sara Klippert about the idea behind Drive Out Loud “Mini is more than a car brand, it’s a lifestyle brand. So the idea for this event materialized because we wanted to integrate all of these lifestyle elements with the essence of our brand," with Klippert adding "as you've seen, we’ve integrated multiple creative elements, such as urban art and music – in addition to showcasing the cars. This approach developed to enhance our brand as a lifestyle brand.”

And as to whether the festival will be a regular event, Klippert says “we don’t know as of yet, but judging from the warm reception to the festival, we might look into repeating it on a frequent basis.”

Klippert told triplew.me that the Drive Out Loud festival was host to a number of exciting live music performances from some of the city’s brightest talents “We definitely wanted to have upcoming musical talents, because Mini is known for always nurturing regional talent in fields of music and art.”

The live musical performances included a wide variety of genres from hip hop (Desert Heat), soul (Hamdan Al Abri), alternative rock (Beat Antenna) to dance (DJ Shadia). This eclectic line-up of local talent made for a very upbeat evening, which showcased an amazing level of quality and showmanship from all the bands and artists involved.
