George Harrison - Living in the Material World (Picture: ADFF).

Legendary film-maker Martin Scorsese is behind this insightful and extended documented story of the life of “The Quiet One” George Harrison. Read below for triplew.me’s review of the film…

At a bit over three hours, Living in the Material World follows the life of George Harrison from the early years to the height of the Beatles' popularity; through to his Harrison’s spiritual awakening.

The film provides an exclusive look into the life of Harrison through a series of never seen before interviews with the likes of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Eric Clapton and more.

The film came as a collaborative work with Olivia Harrison (George’s widow) who says that the late Beatle wanted his life documented through his own collection of archival videos.

Living in the Material world is both a documentary of a one of the most influential music figures in our today as well as a human look at a very inspiring and unique journey. George’s path to spiritual enlightenment is a big part of the film and rightfully so – as it provided a very peaceful insight within the chaotic exterior of living as a Beatle.

Living in the Material World is both educational and heartwarming. A must watch for all music fans.
