Intelligent film about defective military intelligence. The American armed forces (with “clearance” from Donald Rumsfeld) invade Iraq and go looking for Weapons of Mass Destruction, which Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Matt Damon) doesn’t find. CIA agent Martin Brown (Gleeson) assists Miller with some inside information, leading to him confronting the less than honest Pentagon attaché Clark Poundstone (Kinnear) about the lack of WMD’s and where exactly Poundstone’s intelligence reports had come from. Heated discussionsfollow. In typical Greengrass (Bourne Supremacy / United 93) style, a lot of the film is shot using mainly hand-held camera, planting you firmly in amongst the chaos.
