So, this year (or year-end) we're trying something a little bit different. We're handing the steering wheel to a group of Makshoof Music artists to tell us what made this year for them (musically). Read below to find out more!

From Cairo to Dubai, we look at the top ten 2011 (and sometimes 2010) records, which were the soundtrack to some of Makshoof Music artists along the last 12 months.

5. Odd Soul - Mutemath

Odd Soul - Mutemath

"Once again, great music as usual. Amazing songs by the melody champions of the new rock movement. I think this is the band to look to in the future, because they are taking music somewhere interesting."

6. Michael Kiwanuka - Home Again

"Although the EP only has 3 songs, it didn't take long for me to fall in love with all of them, on constant repeat. Great soul music, played the old school way just like it should."
