From Cairo to Dubai, we look at the top ten 2011 (and sometimes 2010) records, which were the soundtrack to some of Makshoof Music artists along the last 12 months.

Nadim's list might've stopped at 6, but he says "The rest has been going back a bit - been listening to loads of NIN, Massive Attack, Alice in Chains, etc. Also, I've been listening to alot of DJent and several other bands that have been emerging and growing in popularity (even ones that have been around for a few years now but only starting to gain popularity) like Animals as Leaders, Beacons, Chimp Spanner, Cloudkicker and more..."

As to what was his favorite track of the year  - Nadim says "Justin Bieber - Ride...expect this as a major influence for Absolace's next release..." All we can say is Uh-Oh!
