With the second version of Makshoof Music just around the corner, and thanks to triplew.me’s Makshoof Music competition sponsors In The Mix Studios and Media One Hotel at Dubai Media City, Shady Ahmed and his band arrive in Dubai this week to make good the prize he won in the first competition.

Staying at the Media One Hotel in Dubai Media City, Shady will be recording 3-4 tracks at In The Mix studios during the week. Scheduled performances on TV, Radio and two special live performances will also guarantee an action-packed week for Shady and his band.

“It’s important for us to stay true to the philosophy of the competition by giving as many opportunities for exposure as possible,” said Paul Kelly, Managing Editor of triplew.me, adding “this includes making sure that artists that win in the competition can get the full benefit of the success.”

Working closely with the Media One Hotel, triplew.me has arranged two special performances during the week, with a special music-industry showcase to happen on the hotel’s Med Terrace on Wednesday.

Tuesday evening, a special performance at the Music Room in Bur Dubai, open to the public, will ensure that as many people as possible get to experience his music. The gig will be followed by Tuesday’s regular Jam Night, so if you’re a musician make sure you get down to the event!

Of course, not forgetting the real reason the band is in Dubai, to make use of the recording time that has been sponsored by In The Mix studios, creating a valuable ooportunity for the band.

triplew.me’s second version of Makshoof Music will be launched in the coming two weeks with a number of initiatives to kick-start the process, including a resources and tools section that will help regional musicians take their careers to the next level. So as usual, stay tuned!
