Songs for Japan

35 Albums Signed by Bowie for Japan Relief Auction

Music has always been a medium to heal people in times of war and disasters – and it has always been a tradition of the music world to release music for the greater good in times of suffering.

As cheesy as it may sound, music does have that power to bring people together in dire times – and with the wave of recent natural disasters in Japan, a new music compilation is being released for charity reasons by Sony Music artists to go along with a charity auction of personal and valuable items donated by some of the artists to the Japanese Red Cross Society relief efforts.

The compilation contains a tracklisting of thirty eight classic hits and newer songs and should be an exciting addition to any music lover’s library.

The tracklisting includes music from artists such as John Lennin, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Cee Lo Green and Bob Dylan.

The charity auction will take places over two phases – and will include exclusive memorabilia and items such as VIP concert tickets, meet and greets, signed guitars, signed records and other special items.
